The School of Business and Management (SBM) of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) successfully hosted the 8th General Membership Caravan on Halal Concepts and the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) on August 28–29, 2025, at the JHCSC-HRM Hostel. With the theme “Advancing Halal and Filipino Brand of Service Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality: Elevating Global Standards and Opportunities,” the two-day caravan gathered educators, industry practitioners, and stakeholders from across the Zamboanga Peninsula to promote collaboration and global competitiveness in the tourism and hospitality sector.

The Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation (OVPRERG), headed by Dr. Jerry B. Superales with Prof. Ruel S. Lasagas, Research Director, and Dr. Joel M. Sabellano Jr., Extension Services Director, led its annual two-day in-house review of research and extension project proposals on August 26–27, 2025, at the New Roxan Hotel, Pagadian City. The activity aimed to ensure that proposed studies are aligned with the institution’s research agenda, priority thrusts, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with participation from faculty researchers and extensionists from the Main, Pagadian, CSME, and Dumingag campuses.

Cerilles State College (JHCSC) filled the air with excitement during the Mobile Sports Festival for Employees Championship Games on August 29, 2025, at the Main Campus, as part of the institution’s 24th Founding Anniversary celebration. The event was spearheaded by the Main Campus Event Management Team (EMT), under the guidance of Main Campus Sports In-Charge, Prof. Ruel S. Lasagas, with the support of Main Campus Director Dr. Trinidad C. Abapo and the leadership initiative of JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales. The Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program held its 5th Pinning and Send-off Ceremony on August 15, 2025, at the Gift Pavilion, Rizal Avenue, Lumbia District, Pagadian City. With the theme “Strength and Unity Across Generations Using Wisdom, Skill, and Care for Maintaining Human Well-Being,” the ceremony marked an important milestone for the graduating social work students as they embark on their practicum journey.
