The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) President, Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, conducted a series of campus visitations for School Year 2026, covering the Canuto M.S. Enerio Campus, Dumingag Campus, and Pagadian Campus on January 8, 2026. The visitations aimed to discuss the institution’s future vision, address concerns, and reinforce policies and systems in Research, Instruction, and Extension.

Opening new avenues for the advancement of the Clinical Legal Education Program, the JHCSC School of Law formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the NAPOLCOM Regional Office IX on December 17, 2025. This significant milestone marks the beginning of a partnership grounded on a shared commitment to the enhancement of legal education, public service, and meaningful community engagement. This collaboration aims to advance excellence, cater to professional growth, and contribute to the development of responsive and ethical public service.

The J.H. Cerilles State College community gathered for its annual institutional Year-End Party 2025, themed “One JHCSC, One Family: Celebrating the Spirit of Giving,” on December 12 at the Main Campus Gymnasium to mark the close of the year through fellowship, gratitude, and shared celebration.

With heartfelt gratitude and humility, the J.H. Cerilles State College Alliance of Mooting and Debating Circle (JAMADEC) shares that on December 13, 2025, it participated for the first time in the 4th Misamis University Public International Law Moot Court Competition, which focused on critical issues such as Indigenous Peoples’ rights, the Rights of Nature, and forest biodiversity.

Music, faith, and solidarity came together on December 11, 2025, as the J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Main Campus Gymnasium hosted a Concert for a Cause in support of two parish communities. With the theme “Christmas in Our Hearts,” the benefit concert was initiated by Dr. Jeremias Navarro Perez with the support of President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales. All proceeds from the event were dedicated to the missions and projects of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish – San Miguel and Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish – Guipos.

J.H. Cerilles State College Main and Pagadian Campus united in observing the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) on December 4, 2025. The campuses joined the nationwide initiative led by the Philippine Commission on Women, promoting awareness, legal protections, and collective action toward a safer and more empowered society for women.

J.H. Cerilles State College marked another milestone in its research endeavors as two faculty members from its School of Teacher Education (STE) successfully presented their papers at the 13th National Conference on Research in Teacher Education (NCRTE), held on November 27–29 at Benitez Hall, College of Education, UP Diliman, Quezon City.

As part of the operational requirements for universityhood under Section 21 of Republic Act No. 12295, or the Zamboanga del Sur State University Charter, the J.H. Cerilles State College–Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (JHCSC-OVPAA), led by Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, facilitated the Management Audit and Regular Monitoring and Evaluation conducted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) from December 1–2, 2025.

The Commission on Audit (COA), led by OIC–Supervising Auditor Mr. Arman H. Asnawi, conducted its Entrance Conference with the JHCSC on November 27, 2025, at the JHCSC Hostel, Pagadian City Extension Campus. The engagement was conducted in line with the audit activities for Calendar Year 2025 and was led by President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales.

The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) School of Law (SOL), under the Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP), officially entered into partnership with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) for the implementation of the Cooperative Legal Awareness Program (CLAP) on December 2, 2025, at the IT Building Conference Room of JH Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Pagadian City Extension Campus. The collaboration is led by CDA Regional Director Dr. Ruben L. Cunanan, JD, represented by Atty. Mynna Marie Barrientos-Godoy, Attorney III of the CDA Region IX Extension Office, together with JHCSC School of Law Dean Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor. The partnership aims to strengthen legal education, promote cooperative law, and extend community-centered legal services through CLEP law student practitioners.
