The School of Business and Management (SBM) of J.H. Cerilles State College, Pagadian City Extension Campus, led by SBM Dean Dr. Julito V. Mandac, Jr., successfully concluded its three-day SBM Day 2025 celebration held from November 13 to 15 at the campus hostel grounds. The event brought together students from all SBM programs as they participated in a series of skill-based, creative, and athletic competitions.

Adding prestige to the occasion, one of the distinguished guests, Mr. Wilfredo M. Barnido Jr., Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF), joined the celebration. The celebration unfolded with student teams adopting identities inspired by mythological and supernatural beings, including the Gorgons, Vampires, Psychics, Sirens, and Werewolves. This creative structure energized the competitions and strengthened the spirit of friendly rivalry throughout the three-day program.

Throughout the event, participants demonstrated their abilities across a wide range of contests. These included Market Basket, Fruit and Vegetable Carving, Napkin Folding, Bed Making, Bartending, Flair Tending, Table Setup and Skirting, Floral Arrangement, Cake Decorating, Literary Arts, and Quiz Bowl. Students also competed in E-sports, ball games, musical and dance numbers, and a Zumba competition, collectively showcasing the diverse strengths of the SBM community.

As the celebration progressed, anticipation grew for the pageant segment, which became one of the key highlights of the culminating day. Contestants advanced through multiple rounds, presenting themselves in corporate attire, modern Filipiniana, barong Tagalog, and evening gowns, allowing judges and spectators to see their confidence, personality, and character in various formats.

During the final awarding, Ms. AG Mia Palo from the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) was crowned winner in the female category. At the same time, Mr. Lance Mangubat from the Bachelor of Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep) earned the male title. Both stood out for their convincing responses during the question-and-answer portion and their strong stage presence.

The SBM Day 2025 celebration concluded with recognition rites honoring winners, participants, and sponsors. The event not only highlighted the departmentโ€™s continuing efforts to promote holistic student development but also strengthened the unity, teamwork, and excellence that define the SBM community.
