The School of Business and Management (SBM) – Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep) Program, led by Program Chair Mr. Ernesto B. Medina Jr., held its Entrepreneurship Day on November 13, 2025, at the JHCSC Hostel, Pagadian City Extension Campus. The event was organized by the Young Entrepreneur Society (YES) Organization with the theme “TABO 2025: Innovating with Purpose through Design Thinking.”

The activity was attended by Pagadian Campus Director Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, SBM Dean Dr. Julito V. Mandac Jr., faculty and staff of SBM, BSEntrep students, and participants from Yllana Bay View College (YBVC) and Southern Mindanao Colleges (SMC).

The morning program opened with a pop dance competition, followed by sessions from two guest speakers. Their discussions centered on service excellence and innovation, aligning with the event’s goal of strengthening entrepreneurial competencies.

Mr. Danceldale P. Calago, Regional Trainer of the Department of Tourism IX and Visiting Lecturer at JRMSU Dapitan Campus, talked about the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence. Mr. Kevin Cumawas from the Department of Trade and Industry presented a lecture on Design Thinking, underscoring its significance in developing creative business solutions.

The afternoon featured the competition proper, which included Product Innovation (Food and Non-Food), Business Pitching, and a Quiz Bowl. These activities enabled students to showcase their creativity, business planning skills, and technical expertise. A tabo was also set up, where the BSEntrep students were able to showcase their innovative products.

The activity forms part of the 3-Day SBM Days, which underscores the college’s commitment to promoting innovation and experiential learning among its students.
