OVERVIEW

JHCSC SAFES: Taking the lead in making a better tomorrow thru Quality Education for Service!

From across the cities and towns around the country, JHCSC Aggies, Foresters, and Environmentalists are making their mark to build this nation.

As one of the first ever schools established in this institution, the School of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Studies of the J.H. Cerilles State College is now celebrating its 20th charter anniversary. Students are finding new ways to build the tradition of combating climate change and mitigating its impact on agricultural undertakings and natural resources conservation.

While confronting some of the world’s new critical challenges, we are ensuring food security, health, and community safety.

We are empowering people to regain hope and livelihood following the depression brought by the pandemic while innovating new technologies that will help boost the economy and promoting organic agriculture and the use of renewable energy as embedded in the 4th industrial revolution.

As one of the developing state colleges in the country, we take pride in JHCSC’s milestone. Students have come to study BS in Agriculture at J.H. Cerilles State College since it opened in 1996 as Josefina H. Cerilles Polytechnic College.

Over the years, the school has launched additional degree programs to meet the requirements of the community and the expanding number of students. Such like the BS in Forestry and BS in Environmental Science for undergraduate programs as well as Master of Agricultural Development and Master of Science in Environmental Resources Management for the graduate programs.

The school has top-caliber, research-oriented, and internationally recognized faculty members who were specialists in their fields. Conducting and publishing world-class research that contributed to the advancement of knowledge in the scientific community.

Our linkages and partnership with the DOST-PCCARRD, DA-BAR, DENR, DAR, LGU’s, DILG, TESDA and WESMAARDEC on research, extension engagement, and student internship have provided us unique opportunities for students and faculty to help attain the mission and vision of the institution towards becoming a SMART campus.

Our students conducted undergraduate research projects with our internationally renowned faculty as mentors. more than 3000 of our graduates have found meaning in their lives and landed jobs at DA, DENR, PhilFida, FPA, DepEd, CHED, DILG and Agro-chemical Companies and other government and private agencies in the region, the country, and the world.

Aside from our comprehensive educational experiences, our outstanding curricular activities have made us produced well-known champions. We are producing agriculturists, foresters, environmental scientists to be future leaders of their respective fields.

This is the JH Cerilles State College – School of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Studies. We are taking the lead in making a better tomorrow thru Quality Education for Service!
