Mr. Norhan B. Kudarat, an esteemed faculty member of the School of Teacher Education (STE) of JHCSC, received the Peter’s Prize Medallion and a Certificate from Carlos Palanca Hall of Fame awardee and PSN Foundation founder, Mr. Peter Solis Nery, on November 20, 2025, at the Office of the Pagadian Campus Director.

Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, Pagadian Campus Director, warmly welcomed Mr. Nery, commended Mr. Kudarat’s achievement, and expressed gratitude to the PSN Foundation for its ongoing support of emerging writers.

Mr. Kudarat earned first prize in the 2025 Humorous Story Competition with his satire “Ang Rebolusyong Nagsimula sa Isang Tinapay na may Mukha ni Jose Rizal.” He is the 39th awardee and the first Moro-Muslim writer to receive the prestigious Peter’s Prize.

This recognition not only affirms Mr. Kudarat’s creativity, dedication, and passion for literary expression but also brings pride to the academic community and inspiration to aspiring writers and educators.
