Stronger & Bolder JHCSC for Quality Tertiary Education

The JHCSC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) held its first quarter meeting at the Canuto Ms Enerio Campus on January 30, 2024. The meeting saw the participation of 13 esteemed individuals, all committed to advancing the DRRMO’s mission, including DRRMO Director Jerry R. Redoblado, DRRMO Staff and Responders, and Supervising Administrative Officer (SAO) and Presidential Management Officer (PMO) Bemia Snooky Beboso.

The JHCSC TESDA Graduation ceremony celebrated the dedication and achievement of 109 graduates who completed the Agricultural Crops Production NC I program under the Coconut Farmer’s Scholarship Program. Held at the JHCSC-Main Campus in Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, the event was a collaboration between the Community Extension Services Office, TESDA, and the Philippine Coconut Authority.

In a symbolic demonstration of unity and collaboration, President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales recently paid a courtesy visit to the office of the newly appointed JHCSC Board of Trustees (BOT) Chair Designate, Honorable 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒅 L. 𝑨𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒕.

Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, JHCSC President, chaired the Administrative Council Meeting, accompanied by Dr. Joel M. Sabellano Jr., Chief Administrative Officer. This significant gathering also included other essential college officials.

The JHCSC Green Hornets emerged victorious in the 41st Phenawagnawag Festival Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament Game 2, held at the Vicenzo Sagun Municipal Gymnasium on February 3, 2024. They secured a thrilling win over the JRMSU-Dipolog team with a resounding score of 96-69.

In a significant milestone at the FY 2025 Regional Budget Forum hosted at Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region-IX, Zambaonga City on Februar 1, 2024, J.H. Cerilles State College has emerged as the exclusive State University and College (SUC) in Region IX to submit Budget Execution Documents (BED) on schedule, showcasing the institution’s steadfast commitment to financial efficiency and transparency.

Vicenzo Sagun Municipal Gymnasium was alive with the vibrant energy of basketball enthusiasts as the 41st Phenawagnawag Festival Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament kicked off its grand opening on February 1, 2024.

The JHCSC, in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), hosted a transformative orientation session for its TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay Sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) recipients at the JHCSC Pagadian Annex Library, which united 376 self-supporting students from Pagadian Annex, Dumingag, Lakewood, and Main Campuses.

In a resounding display of commitment to intellectual property education, Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, President of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) took an active role alongside Project Leader Mr. Rickler Detalla and Assistant Project Leader Dr. Jeffrey Villaver in the 6th Intellectual Property Master Class.

Joining a new organization can be exciting and nerve-wracking for newly hired employees. To ensure seamless integration and provide essential information, J.H. Cerilles State College, the Human Resource Management Office, which was spearheaded by Director Julito V. Mandac, Jr., under the leadership of President Edgardo H. Rosales, conducted two batches of onboarding and orientation programs for its new personnel.
