J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) participated in the 1st National Research, Innovation, and Extension Summit (RIEX 2025) organized by the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) from October 22 to 24, 2025, at the University Closed Gym, Sumacab Campus. Representing the institution were Prof. Zenon Matos, Program Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program from JHCSC Dumingag, and Mr. Jaafar Omar, MSCA, a faculty member of the BSIT program from the Pagadian Campus. With the theme “Empowering Futures: Advancing Research, Extension, and Innovation through Emerging Technologies,” the event expanded on the success of the 2024 Regional RIEX Expo, bringing it to a national platform that celebrated innovation, collaboration, and technological advancement.

Sabellano, Jr., Extension Director, officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Pantad for the second year of the Mangrove Growing and Rehabilitation Extension Project. Dr. Sebial successfully presented the collaborative study titled “Quantifying Students’ Creativity in Function Arts” during the parallel session under Theme 6: Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
