Members of both the Administrative and Academic Councils from across J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) campuses convened for the first Joint Council Meeting of 2025 on May 30 at the Pagadian City Extension Campus Hostel. The session was held in accordance with Rule IX of CMO No. 7, series of 2022. While some members attended in person, others joined virtually via Zoom.

Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, College President and visionary leader, presided over the meeting. The gathering aimed to discuss and approve key agenda items for endorsement to the Board of Trustees (BOT) and other essential matters.

Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs, presented four academic-related items. The first three pertained to School Year 2024–2025: Candidates for Graduation, Academic Awardees (Latin Honors), and Candidates for Completion in the Certificate of Agricultural Science. She also presented the proposed Calendar of Activities for School Year 2025–2026.

Additional agenda items were also discussed. Prof. Marjo Malabanan, Dean of the School of Nursing, presented the revised Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Manual to ensure compliance with COPC (Certificate of Program Compliance) requirements. Meanwhile, Mr. Kim Borja, Human Resource Management Officer III, presented the JHCSC Internal Implementing Rules, Guidelines, and Procedures (IIRGP) on releasing, utilizing, and monitoring the ₱7,000.00 medical allowance.

The meeting concluded with key agendas approved for endorsement to the BOT, alongside collaborative discussions that reflected the college’s collective efforts to ensure academic excellence and administrative efficiency.
