The J.H. Cerilles State College—School of Graduate Studies (JHCSC-SGS) held an orientation on August 16, 2025, at the BSIT Building Conference Room, Pagadian City Extension Campus. Facilitated by the SGS Student Council, the activity gathered new and second-year graduate students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Education (MAEd), Master of Science in Environmental Resources Management (MSERM), and Master of Agricultural Development (MAgDev) programs, equipping them with a strong foundation for their academic journey at JHCSC Pagadian Campus.

The President’s Cup Lawn Tennis officially commenced on August 16, 2025, at the Lawn Tennis Court of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Main Campus. JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales led the opening, calling on tennis enthusiasts to celebrate the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship. The event was graced by Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Vice Governor, Hon. Roseller L. Ariosa, who also joined the match.

The Supreme Students Council of the JHCSC School of Law, in partnership with Rex Book Store, organized a Book Fair and Law School 101 Seminar on August 16, 2025, at the Pagadian City Extension Campus. The activity was tailored for first-year law students, providing essential strategies and insights to guide them in their academic journey.

As part of JHCSC’s 24th Founding Anniversary activities, Game 1 of the Mobile Sports Festival for employees commenced on August 15, 2025, hosted by the Dumingag Campus under the leadership of Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin. The event was attended by employees representing the Dumingag, CMSE, Pagadian, and Main Campus Teams.

J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) under the leadership of President Edgardo H. Rosales commenced its month-long 24th Founding Anniversary celebration on August 11, 2025, with a three-in-one ceremony at the Main Campus — a Thanksgiving Mass, the blessing of the Lawn Tennis Court and four newly procured vehicles, and the ribbon-cutting with ceremonial serve — graced by Zamboanga del Sur Vice Governor Hon. Roseller L. Ariosa.

The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) officially marked the opening of its 24th Founding Anniversary and the Launching of ASEAN Month Celebration on August 11, 2025, at the Main Campus Gymnasium. With the theme “Carrying the Torch Forward in 24 Years: Honoring the Past, Sustaining the Present, and Committing to a Brighter Future”, the event embraced an ASEAN-inspired atmosphere. It was spearheaded by the Event Management Team (EMT) of the Main Campus under the leadership and guidance of JHCSC President, Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales.

College officials of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), led by President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, paid a courtesy visit to Zamboanga del Sur Governor Divina Grace C. Yu on August 11, 2025, at the Provincial Capitol to discuss strengthened collaboration between the institution and the provincial government.

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program of the School of Computing Studies at JHCSC Pagadian Campus, under the leadership of Dean Elsie Ybañez, has officially received its Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The certificate was formally handed over during a ceremonial event held on August 8, 2025, at the JHCSC Hostel.

The JHCSC Pagadian City Extension Campus, under the leadership of Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, officially welcomed new and returning students for the academic year 2025–2026 through “Panukad 2025” on August 6, 2025, at the campus grounds. The program also marked the launch of Buwan ng Wika with the theme, “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.” In line with the celebration, students, employees, faculty members, and staff wore traditional Filipiniana dresses and Barong Tagalog, adding a vibrant cultural touch to the occasion. The opening ceremony also featured the introduction of candidates for the Supreme Student Council (SSC) Elections, as well as key college officials, faculty members, and employees of the campus.

On August 6, 2025, the JHCSC community, under the leadership of President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, gathered at the Main Campus Gymnasium to officially welcome new and returning students for the opening of classes for the academic year 2025-2026. The event also served as the launch of the Buwan ng Wika, with the theme “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika; Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.”
