A total of one hundred sixteen (116) fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management students of J.H. Cerilles State College have been deployed to various prestigious partner organizations for their 600-hour culminating practicum experience. The deployment began on February 10 and 11, 2025.
The students have been positioned to reputable hospitality and tourism firms across the country, including Astoria Culinary and Hospitality Institute (ACHI), Astoria Plaza Manila, Astoria Boracay Current, Astoria Boracay Station 1, Savoy Hotel, Dusit Thani Cebu, Badian Island Wellness Resort Cebu, Solaire Resort and Casino, and Shangri-La Manila.
The deployment process is being spearheaded by the JHCSC School of Business and Management (SBM) Faculty, led by its Dean, Dr. Julito V. Mandac Jr. Faculty members, including Mr. Glady C. Quirante, Ms. Maricar P. Rellon, and Ms. Charmagne B. Merontos, have been significant in coordinating tasks and ensuring a smooth transition of the students to the training sites.
JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales conveyed his warmest regards to the students, reminding them of the importance of dedication and professionalism to their chosen vocation. He encouraged them to maximize this exposure to gain hands-on industry exposure and hone their skills in their future careers.
This deployment represents a milestone in the student’s academic careers as they apply theoretical concepts to practical situations and gain networks in the hospitality industry. JHCSC continues to develop its partnerships with reputable organizations to ensure its graduates’ quality of training and career readiness.
