The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) accredited assessors, Sir Fernando M. Manlaran and Sir Jay Lou S. Maculanta conducted the National Competency Level III (NC III) Assessment in Horticulture from February 7 to 9, 2025, at the JHCSC Main Campus Community Extension Services Office.
A total of 60 second-year students from the School of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Studies (SAFES) from the Dumingag Campus participated in the assessment, achieving a 100% passing rate. The assessment ensured that students met TESDA’s national competency standards, enhancing their skills and employability in the agricultural sector.
Extension Director Prof. Ricky Aranas Egos led the initiative with the support of Dean Dr. Jerry B. Superales, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation (VPRERG), and JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, an advocate for the advancement of technical-vocational education.
The successful collaboration between JHCSC and TESDA exemplifies their commitment to equipping students with essential competencies to excel in their respective fields. This partnership continues to foster a pathway for students to gain valuable skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the agricultural industry.
Congratulations to all the successful candidates! Your dedication, love for learning, and pursuit of excellence have set the stage for a bright and thriving future in agriculture. Continue to aim high and achieve even greater success!
Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
