The JHCSC Canuto MS Enerio (CMSE) Campus marked a significant academic milestone as it held its Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2025 on June 18, 2025, at the Municipal Gymnasium in Poblacion, Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur. The ceremony was attended by members of the JHCSC Board of Trustees, college officials, deans, program chairs, faculty, staff, graduates, and proud parents.
JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales officially conferred the degrees of 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲-𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 (𝟏𝟖𝟒) graduates from the CMSE Campus, as presented by their respective deans. The conferment covered the following academic programs:
𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐒𝐀𝐒)
Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies (BAELS): 32 graduates
𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐒𝐄𝐓)
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT): 17 graduates

Bachelor of Secondary Education – Major in English (BSED-English): 48 graduates
Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education – Major in Food and Service Management (BTVTEd-FSM): 25 graduates
Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, CHED IX Regional Director, served as the commencement speaker for the ceremony. In his address, he expressed heartfelt appreciation for the role of parents in their children’s academic journey. “𝑆𝑎 𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑔𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑔, 𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑡 𝑎𝑡 𝑛𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑘𝑖 𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑦𝑜 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛𝑦𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑘 𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑎𝑚𝑎. 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑡 𝑝𝑎𝑔𝑝𝑖𝑙𝑖 𝑠𝑎 𝐽.𝐻. 𝐶𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑠 𝑆𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝐶𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑔𝑒,” he stated. He further emphasized that CHED will continue to support students through scholarship programs and other educational opportunities.
Ms. Kimberly M. Pates, Cum Laude graduate of the BTVTEd-FSM program, delivered the valedictory address. She shared the challenges and triumphs of her academic journey and called on her fellow graduates to carry forward the values they have gained. “To my fellow graduates, this may not have been the road we first imagined, but it is ours now and beautiful. Let us walk it with pride, teach with passion, serve purpose, build with vision, and lead with courage,” she expressed.
A defining feature of this year’s 26th commencement was the immediate distribution of diplomas and official Transcripts of Records (TORs) to all graduates—an unprecedented move in JHCSC’s history. This progressive step aims to equip graduates with the necessary documents to seek employment or further studies without delay.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt rendition of the batch song and a finale performance. Filled with gratitude and determination, the Class of 2025 stepped into a new chapter—ready to face the future with knowledge, strength, and purpose.
