As part of the celebration of the 26th Commencement Exercises of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), the Pagadian City Extension Campus held its graduation ceremony on June 17, 2025, at the Mega Gymnasium, Provincial Government Complex, Dao, Pagadian City. With the theme “Igniting Innovation and Inspiring Sustainable Growth towards 25 Years of Academic Excellence,” the ceremony honored the hard work and dedication of 410 graduates who successfully completed their academic journey.
Atty. James Lee Cundangan, Assistant Solicitor General, served as the Commencement Speaker. Members of the JHCSC Board of Trustees, college key officials, and the Pagadian Campus faculty and staff also graced the ceremony. Proud parents gathered with the 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 – 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝑯𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒂 to witness this momentous occasion.
As presented by the respective School Deans, Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, President of JHCSC, formally acknowledged and confirmed the 410 graduates across various programs. The academic programs and number of graduates are as follows:

One of the ceremony’s key highlights was the 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕-𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑫𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔 (TOR) during the graduation rites. This historic milestone was made possible through the visionary leadership of Dr. Rosales, reflecting JHCSC’s commitment to producing globally competitive and employment-ready graduates, along with the recognition of academic excellence, where five Latin Honor Awardees and two Proficiency Awardees were honored with medals and certificates.
𝑨𝒕𝒕𝒚. 𝑱𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝑳𝒆𝒆 𝑪𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒏 highlighted important life lessons drawn from his own experiences and other inspiring stories. Emphasizing the value of “accepting the worst scenario with a proper attitude,” he reminded the graduates that setbacks should not hinder them from moving forward and encouraged them never to quit. “Always be positive,” he said. “Everything is uncertain. Remember this day. Remember my story. Make a difference”—words meant to inspire even when the road ahead seems unclear.
𝑴𝒔. 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆 𝑹. 𝑽𝒆𝒅𝒓𝒂, 𝑪𝒖𝒎 𝑳𝒂𝒖𝒅𝒆, BSEd-English, in her valedictory address, reflected on the challenges and triumphs of their academic journey. “It was tough, but we made it,” she told her fellow graduates.
This historic event marked the academic success of the graduates and underscored JHCSC’s unwavering dedication to accessible, quality, and transformative education.
