Stronger & Bolder JHCSC for Quality Tertiary Education

In a significant milestone at the FY 2025 Regional Budget Forum hosted at Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region-IX, Zambaonga City on Februar 1, 2024, J.H. Cerilles State College has emerged as the exclusive State University and College (SUC) in Region IX to submit Budget Execution Documents (BED) on schedule, showcasing the institution’s steadfast commitment to financial efficiency and transparency.

Vicenzo Sagun Municipal Gymnasium was alive with the vibrant energy of basketball enthusiasts as the 41st Phenawagnawag Festival Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament kicked off its grand opening on February 1, 2024.

The JHCSC, in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), hosted a transformative orientation session for its TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay Sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) recipients at the JHCSC Pagadian Annex Library, which united 376 self-supporting students from Pagadian Annex, Dumingag, Lakewood, and Main Campuses.

The recent championship victory of the JHCSC Green Hornets in the first ever Asenso Athletics Intercollegiate Basketball Cup 2024 is a testament to perseverance and strategic leadership. Under the guidance of Coaching President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, the basketball team showcased an outstanding performance, culminating in reclaiming the coveted title after a four-year hiatus. Their decisive win over the reigning champions, the Southern Mindanao College (SMC) Panthers from Pagadian City, on January 20, 2024, marked the end of a determined journey to recapture the championship crown.
