J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) proudly brought home 19 medals—7 Gold, 9 Silver, and 3 Bronze—from the National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games 2025, held in Camiguin from April 22 to 27. Their outstanding performance was crucial in securing Region IX’s Top 5 overall ranking among the 16 competing regions.

Representing Region IX, JHCSC’s athletes showcased remarkable skill and determination, earning Gold Medals in Lawn Tennis Doubles (Men) and Esports CODM Battle Royale, as well as Silver in Esports CODM Multiplayer, Arnis (Live Stick, Middleweight Men Category, and Beach Volleyball (Men). The college also earned Bronze Medals in Lawn Tennis Singles (Women), Taekwondo (Women, Flyweight), and Sepak Takraw (Men). In addition to these impressive medals, JHCSC athletes secured notable 4th place finishes in Dancesport Latin Same-Sex (Third Kind) and 110M High Hurdles (Men).

The JHCSC delegation, led by Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, College President, included 59 student-athletes, coaches, sports staff, and support personnel. The college extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the athletes for their dedication and commitment and for bringing pride to Region IX. A special commendation is also given to the coaches who mentored and supported our athletes throughout the competition and to each delegate and support team, whose invaluable contributions made this success possible.

JHCSC’s remarkable achievement at SCUAA 2025 was a collective effort. It marked a significant milestone for the college as it showcased its student-athletes skill, sportsmanship, and determination in a national competition.
