Two faculty members from J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) participated in the 𝟐𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒐 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔 (𝑴𝑰𝑪𝑬) contemporary theater workshop held from June 26-28, 2025, at the Function Hall of Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) – Dipolog Campus.
The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) President, Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, along with the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, participated in the AUN-QEx Mastery Training Workshop on Qualifications Excellence held from June 25 to 27, 2025, at Novotel Platinum Pratunam in Bangkok, Thailand. The workshop was organized by the ASEAN University Network (AUN) through the office of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapan Laiprakobsup, Deputy Executive Director for AUN Executive Director.
The Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation of JHCSC, under the leadership of Dr. Jerry B. Superales, with the support of President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, conducted a three-day research and extension capability training from June 25 to 27, 2025, at the JHCSC Hostel, Pagadian City Extension Campus. The activity was part of the institution’s efforts to further enhance its research culture and extension services in line with its strategic goals.
The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) Program of J.H. Cerilles State College – Main Campus sent eight (8) students, along with Coach Rosito D. Orquesta and BSIT Main Program Chair Maribel M. Estioco, to participate in the first-ever Provincial Hack4Gov Competition held on June 18, 2025. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Regional Office IX organized the event in partnership with the City Government of Pagadian. It was held at the Executive Hall of the City Mayor’s Office.
The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region IX Extension Office has formally expressed its intent to partner with J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), specifically its School of Law, for the implementation of the CDA Laws and Awareness Program (CLAP). The exploratory meeting took place on June 23, 2025, at the IT Building Conference Room of JHCSC Pagadian City Extension Campus. Spearheaded by CDA Regional Director Atty. Ruben L. Cunanan, represented by Assistant Regional Director Windelyn A. Avila, the initiative was coursed through School of Law (SOL) Dean Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor with the support of Campus Director Dr. Patricia D. Bahian.
A M.E.A.S.U.R.E.S. executive meeting was held on June 20, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the JHCSC Conference Room, Pagadian Extension Campus. The gathering brought together key college officials, including Vice Presidents, Campus Directors, Deans, and administrative heads, with President Edgardo H. Rosales, JD, EdD, leading the discussion.
The School of Business and Management (SBM) hosted a heartfelt “Tribute to Parents & Faculty and Graduation Ball” at Hotel Alindahaw in Pagadian City on June 4, 2025. The event, themed “Roots and Wings: Honoring the Hands That Build the Future,” celebrated the foundational support of families and the empowering guidance of educators. Spearheaded by SBM Dean Dr. Julito V. Mandac, Jr., with the support of Pagadian Campus Director Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, the gathering underscored the collaborative effort between families and educators in shaping students’ academic and personal growth.

Cerilles State College (JHCSC), Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology (NMSCT), and Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST).
J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) formalized its commitment to academic and research collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with key partner institutions during the 1st Environmental Science Research Congress hosted by Mindanao State University (MSU) Buug Campus on June 16–18, 2025. The event carried the theme “Revolutionizing Our Response to Climate Change: Cutting-Edge Research and Technologies Paving the Way for a Low-Carbon Future!” and was led by Dr. Bryan Bitantos, MSU Buug’s Research Director and Dean of the College of Forestry and Environmental Studies, with full support from Chancellor Dr. Sheila Magolama.
