The J.H. Cerilles State College Dancesports team unveiled their talent and determination at the 6th HIGALA-AY National Open Dancesports Competition last August 17, 2024, at Atrium Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro City. They’ve competed against hundreds of dance sports athletes across the Philippines yet still bagged home an impressive haul of medals, further solidifying JHCSC’s honor in the dance sports arena.

The 23rd month-long founding anniversary of the J.H. Cerilles State College continued today with a special celebration held at JHCSC Dapiwak Campus in Dumingag. The event was part of the ongoing series of activities for the institution’s celebration, formally opening last August 9, 2024, at the JHCSC Main Campus.

Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, President of J.H. Cerilles State College, extended his deep appreciation to The Insider, the official school publication of JHCSC Dumingag, as an invaluable partner with the Information and Public Affairs Office (IPAO). Under the guidance of their adviser, Ms. Jackie Valderrama, and their campus administrator, Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin, The Insider has been at the forefront of JHCSC PULSE, the college’s official News Broadcasting Program. This collaboration underlines the essential role of campus journalism in magnifying the college’s triumphs and ensuring that the heartbeat of JHCSCian stories thumps across all its campuses.

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) RO-IX conducted an Agency Performance Review (APR) for J.H. Cerilles State College at the DBM Conference Room, Pettit Barracks, Zamboanga City, on August 14, 2024, in connection to the provisions of the National Budget Circular No. 592, dated January 2, 2024, to determine the level of performance in terms of physical outputs, as well as expenditures incurred in the production/delivery of goods/services to the public vis-a-vis targets.

The University of Southeastern Philippines (USep), Davao City, hosted the Onsite Simultaneous Training of Accreditors for Preliminary, Levels I and Levels II Surveys, and the Conduct of 3rd and 4th Accreditation Survey Visits for Mindanao State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) from August 12 – 14, 2024. The said training aimed to equip a new set of accreditors with competencies and enhance the capabilities of the selected accreditors who have demonstrated the competencies required for conducting higher–level accreditation surveys.

August 11, 2024, marks the J.H. Cerilles State College’s 23rd Founding Anniversary. This significant milestone will be honored with a month-long celebration reflecting on the college’s achievements and embracing the future with enthusiasm and unity. It officially launched on August 9, 2024, as an opening for the upcoming series of events.

This month-long celebration began today, August 9, 2024, at Main Campus College Gymnasium, Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, facilitated by the Supervising Administrative Office, spearheaded by Mrs. Snooky Bemia A. Beboso, MBA.

Some 57 years ago, Southeast Asian nations, in the face of their many diverse geopolitical, economic, social, and cultural challenges, met in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 8, 1967. Initiated by our very own Foreign Minister, Narciso R. Ramos, along with his counterparts from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, signed the ASEAN Declaration, which founded the ASEAN.
