The 23rd month-long founding anniversary of the J.H. Cerilles State College continued today with a special celebration held at JHCSC Dapiwak Campus in Dumingag. The event was part of the ongoing series of activities for the institution’s celebration, formally opening last August 9, 2024, at the JHCSC Main Campus.
Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin, JHCSC Dumingag Campus Administrator, warmly welcomed the students, faculty, staff, and delegates from the Philippine Coconut Authority headed by Mr. Ferdinand D. Acaylar, PCA Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Manager III.
JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, in his message, highlighted the relevance of celebrating the founding anniversary across all campuses, instilling the college’s commitment to cultivating unity and educational growth throughout the JHCSC community.
Municipal Mayor, Hon. Gerry T. Paglinawan, represented by Ms. Janice Mae Paglinawan, the Municipal Administrator, also graced the event. She expressed the local government of Dumingag’s appreciation for the college’s support and contributions to advancing education, sports, and ecotourism in Dumingag. Furthermore, Ms. Paglinawan complimented JHCSC’s capacity to form strategic collaborations with various agencies that had significantly enhanced the institution’s resources and capabilities.
The event also featured a tree planting activity, the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between PCA and JHCSC, and a groundbreaking ceremony of the 25 million pesos 2-storey academic building. These meaningful activities underscored JHCSC’s commitment to sustainable growth and development to deliver quality tertiary education in the locality and throughout the ASEAN region.
