The key leaders of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) are participating in the 38th Annual National Conference and General Assembly of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), which kicked off today, March 5, 2025. The event runs until March 7, 2025, at Marikina Polytechnic College, Sta. Elena, Marikina City. This year’s conference carries the theme: “ELEVATE, EMPOWER, AND EXPAND QA IN HIGHER EDUCATION.”

The AACCUP conference serves as a crucial platform for higher education institutions (HEIs) to reinforce their commitment to quality assurance (QA) and academic excellence. Participants—including university presidents, vice presidents, deans, academic leaders, and QA professionals—engage in discussions on enhancing the quality of education in state universities and colleges (SUCs).

Representing JHCSC are President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, Vice Presidents Dr. Vilma C. Grengia (Academic Affairs), Dr. Jerry B. Superales (Research, Extension, and Resource Generation), and Mr. Wilfredo M. Barnido Jr. (Administration and Finance), Campus Directors Mrs. Bemia Snooky A. Beboso (Main), Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin (Dumingag), Dr. Patricia D. Bahian (Pagadian City Extension), and Prof. Bobby Piscos (Lakewood), and Quality Assurance Director Mr. Vicpher D. Garnada.

The conference aims to enhance the overall quality of education by ensuring that state colleges and universities integrate and adapt new technologies and digital tools in their programs. Specifically, it seeks to raise the standards of quality assurance (QA) in higher education through innovative strategies and best practices, empower educators, administrators, and QA professionals with the necessary knowledge, competencies, attitudes, and values to implement effective QA processes and expand QA practices by fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among institutions and higher education partners worldwide.

JHCSC’s participation highlights its dedication to continuous quality improvement and its commitment to integrating modern educational strategies and digital advancements within its academic programs. The institution remains steadfast in its pursuit of excellence in higher education, ensuring that students receive top-quality learning experiences aligned with national and international standards.
