The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) visited the J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Pagadian City Extension Campus to conduct a Unified Processing/Evaluation for Graduate Education Programs on February 27, 2025. The evaluation, held at the Conference Room, 3rd Floor, I.T. Building, aimed to assess the status and quality of the institutionโs graduate education offerings. The event was led by CHED assessor Dr. Joe-an G. Cuaresma, who guided the evaluation process.
The event was attended by key officials from JHCSC, including Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Pagadian Campus Director Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, and the School of Teacher Education (STE) Dean Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial. Also present were members of the Quality Assurance (QA) Office of JHCSC Dumingag Campus, led by Dr. Vicpher D. Garnada, and the School of Arts and Science (SAS) Dean, Dr. Benjamin B. Mangila, Ph.D.
During the visitation, the CHED assessor and JHCSC officials focused on evaluating the content of the Masterโs Program and Ph.D. Tool in the Dumingag Campus. The evaluation included an in-depth review of the curriculum and a thorough revisitation of the syllabi to ensure that the programs align with academic standards and educational quality.
The visitation highlighted JHCSCโs ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of its graduate education programs. With the active participation of key stakeholders, the institution aims to uphold its academic excellence and ensure its programs meet the standards set by higher education regulators.
