The JHCSC Pagadian City Extension Campus successfully concluded its month-long celebration of National Arts Month 2025 on February 28, 2025. The culminating event, organized by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) under the leadership of President Mr. Hassanor G. Saanoding, was held under the guidance of SSC Adviser Ms. Mechaila M. Ubac and Mrs. Janniece L. Magsayo, Student Affairs and Services In-charge.

Dr. Julito V. Mandac, Dean of the School of Business and Management (SBM), delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the role of the arts in connecting individuals to their cultural roots. “May this culminating activity not only serve as an opportunity to honor the creative talents of the Filipino people, especially our J.H. Cerilles State College artists but also recognize how arts unite us and reconnect us to our different roots,” he stated.

Pagadian Campus Director Dr. Patricia D. Bahian also addressed the attendees, underscoring the culmination as a celebration of artistic excellence that features diverse performances, exhibitions, and showcases of various art forms. “This month is an inspiration for future generations. The culmination of Arts Month would surely inspire everyone on the campus,” she remarked.

The event was marked by various performances, with the highlight being a singing competition by representatives from the BSN, BSTM, BSIT, and BSED-English programs. The contestant from BSED-English emerged as the champion. The program also included exhibitions of dance performances from the BSN and BSIT programs and theatrical performance from the BSED Program.

The program concluded with an awarding ceremony recognizing the winners of the month-long activities. Mrs. Magsayo, whose message was delivered by Ms. Udac, expressed her gratitude to all participants and emphasized the importance of continued support for artistic initiatives. This year’s theme, “Ani ng Sining, Diwa at Damdamin,” reaffirmed JHCSC’s commitment to promoting artistic expression and cultural appreciation within the academic community.
