The Dumingag Campus hosted an acquaintance party themed “Euphoria in Monochrome” as part of the Kasugiran 2024 celebration at the Open Ground in Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur. This engaging event took place on October 11, 2024, and was spearheaded by the Supreme Student Council (SSC), led by SSC Governor Mr. John Michael Pacheco. The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), under the guidance of Mr. Mariell Jun Sanchez, also played a key role in organizing the event, with support from Dr. Moises Glenn Tangalin, the Dumingag Campus Administrator.
The event showcased a vibrant parade of talents from students and faculty, adding an exciting dynamic to the party. With a diverse range of performances, including singing and dancing, the atmosphere was filled with energy and enthusiasm. The deans, faculty members, staff, and students gathered to witness this celebration of creativity, fostering a sense of unity and pride among everyone who attended. The collective support and camaraderie among attendees made the party enjoyable and strengthened the bonds within the campus community.
Hon. Glendell I. Oyo-a, Alumni Trustee, served as the guest speaker for the event. In his inspiring address, he urged attendees to seize the opportunity to engage and connect. He emphasized the significance of meeting new people, reminding everyone that such interactions can lead to meaningful relationships and enriching experiences.
One of the event’s highlights was the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected Federated Faculty and Staff Association (FFASA) officers, officiated by Hon. Oyo-a. This ceremony also included the induction of the newly elected Supreme Student Council (SSC) officers, led by Hon. Cyrusdirk Elle, the Student Trustee. This significant moment marked the start of their leadership journeys and demonstrated their commitment to serving the campus community.
