Strong winds and heavy rainfall hit Pagadian City today, September 13, 2024, and caused significant damage within the perimeter of the JHCSC Pagadian Annex. A power pole fell right in front of the JHCSC Pagadian Annex, triggering a domino effect that resulted in the collapse of all other nearby power poles on that street. A nearby tree was also toppled due to the incident.
Dr. Rody P. Garcia, Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) IX, visited J.H. Cerilles State College as a resource speaker on September 13, 2024, along with Engr. Joseph Lou C. This occasion also commemorates the 19 September 1900 enactment of Public Law No. 5, an Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Islands, establishing the Philippine Civil Service.

Cerilles State College Dancesports team unveiled their talent and determination at the 6th HIGALA-AY National Open Dancesports Competition last August 17, 2024, at Atrium Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro City. They’ve competed against hundreds of dance sports athletes across the Philippines yet still bagged home an impressive haul of medals, further solidifying JHCSC’s honor in the dance sports arena.
The 23rd month-long founding anniversary of the J.H. Cerilles State College continued today with a special celebration held at JHCSC Dapiwak Campus in Dumingag. The event was part of the ongoing series of activities for the institution’s celebration, formally opening last August 9, 2024, at the JHCSC Main Campus.
