The School of Law (SOL), led by Dean Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor, held a Seniors’ Night and Tribute to Parents on June 4, 2025, at the Pavilion Hall, Dao, Pagadian City. Organized by graduating SOL students, the event celebrated a remarkable milestone and the culmination of their years of hard work.
The momentous occasion gathered the SOL faculty as well as the families of the graduands to honor their unwavering support, love, and sacrifices.
Atty. Jhonjie C. Alviar, Chief of PDEA Region IX, served as the guest speaker for the event. He congratulated the graduating students, stating, “Your dedication, courage, resilience, perseverance, and sacrifices have brought you here.” He also shared words of encouragement, urging the future lawyers to stand together in their pursuit of a fair and equitable society, where everyone has access to equal opportunities, fair treatment, and protection under the law.
During the event, selected students delivered messages of appreciation to their parents, professors, and fellow students. The graduating students also gave flowers and tokens to their parents as a symbol of gratitude. Additionally, plaques and medals were awarded to the Supreme Student Council officers.
A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of their batch name, Fortis Virtus, a Latin phrase that translates to “strength is virtue” or “strong is virtue.” It emphasizes that true strength and moral character are intertwined, reflecting their journey and who they have become. The name signifies strength in virtue—a quiet but steady kind of courage rooted in integrity and purpose.
The Seniors’ Night and Tribute to Parents not only marked the end of an important chapter for Batch Fortis Virtus but also celebrated the values of perseverance, integrity, and gratitude that will guide them as they embark on their professional journeys as future advocates of justice.
