The 3-day event themed “Weaving Culture and Innovation for a Transformative, Resilient, and Globally Recognized Philippine Higher Education” was held at KCC Mall de Zamboanga starting July 9, 2024, and concluded today, July 11, 2024.

JH Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Canuto MS Enerio Campus in Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur, recently hosted its 2nd Grand Alumni Homecoming after a 12-year hiatus.

Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, J.H. Cerilles State College President, recently attended a special tribute event titled “A Night with Commissioner Hon. Ronald L. Adamat and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) Presidents” at Dr. J. Bruno Gymnasium, WMSU on July 11, 2024.

Dr. Jerry B. Superales, Vice President of Research, Extension, and Resource Generation (VPREG) of J.H. Cerilles State College, had the honor of being one of the invited participants at the prestigious 46th Annual Scientific Meeting of the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).

Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, the esteemed President of J.H. Cerilles State College, has once again proven that he is more than just an administrative leader. Known fondly as the “singing President,” Dr. Rosales showcased his talent in dancing and modeling and displayed his charisma during the SUC FAIR 2024 at Zamboanga City.

J.H. Cerilles State College Buswak Dance Ensemble, guided by Culture and the Arts Director Mr. Joseph Salimbangon, gave their exceptional performance at the SUC FAIR 2024 Cultural Show, held on July 9, 2024, at KCC Mall de Zamboanga. Their presentation beautifully displayed the rich cultural heritage of Indigenous communities in Mindanao.

JH Cerilles State College community buzzed with excitement and camaraderie as alumni from various campuses gathered for the much-anticipated Alumni General Assembly on July 5, 2024, at JHCSC Main Campus. This event marked a significant milestone in fostering stronger connections among JHCSC graduates and reinforcing the college’s commitment to its alumni community.

Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, President of J.H. Cerilles State College, is participating in BIGKIS 2024, a two-day conference beginning today, July 4, 2024, and concluding on July 5, 2024, at Bukidnon State University in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. CHED Commissioner Ronald L. Adamat delivered the keynote speech during the morning session of the conference’s first day.

The J.H. Cerilles State College Main Campus Guidance and Counselling Office led by Mrs. Jonah T. Salaguste, RGC, recently hosted the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) orientation on July 3, 2024 at Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

Under the direction of President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, JHCSC is preparing to host the anticipated Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools (MASTS) in September 2024.
