In dedication to upholding academic excellence, the J.H. Cerilles State College School of Teacher Education (STE), spearheaded by Dean Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial, recently organized an orientation for pre-service teachers and their parents at the JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium on March 25, 2024.
In a proactive effort to enhance disaster preparedness and response, the J.H. Cerilles State College Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), under the leadership of Director Mr. Jerry R. Redoblado, conducted an earthquake drill at the JHCSC Main Campus, involving students, faculty, and staff. This initiative was part of the college’s participation in the nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill held on March 25, 2024
The JHCSC Gender and Development (GAD) Office, spearheaded by Director Dr. Trininad C. Abapo, organized a significant event for the 2024 National Women’s Month Celebration under the theme, “Lipunang Patas para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patunayan!”, on March 22, 2024, at the JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium.
To commemorate 2024 Fire Prevention Month, the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO), spearheaded by Director Mr. Jerry R. Redoblado, organized a fire prevention drill under the theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-Lisa” on March 22, 2024, at the JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium.
In recognition of the pivotal role of frontline staff in shaping the image of J.H. Cerilles State College, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), spearheaded by Director Dr. Julito M. Mandac Jr., organized a two-day seminar for the JHCSC Job Order and Contract of Service on mastering essential customer service skills under the theme “Customer-Centric Service Excellence: Nurturing Soft Skills Among Frontline Staff” on March 21 and 22 at Pagadian Annex I.T. Conference Room.
Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, the President of J.H. Cerilles State College, spearheaded a notable delegation from the institution to the 37th AACCUP Annual National Conference and General Assembly, held at Century Park Hotel in Malate, Metro Manila, from March 20 to 22, 2024. Joining him were distinguished figures, including Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), Community Extension Director Mr. Ricky C. Egos, Resource Generation Director Mr. Ruel S. Lasagas, and Ms. Bemia Snooky A. Beboso, the Presidential Management Chief.
In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation and camaraderie, the Presidential Management Office (PMO), led by Office Chief Bemia Snooky A. Beboso, initiated a surprise advance birthday celebration for Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales on March 15, 2024, at the New Roxan Hotel, Pagadian City. The event, attended by JHCSC executives, administrators, deans, directors, and staff, was a jubilant affair commemorating not only the gift of life but also President Rosales’s dedication and excellence in leadership.
The Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), known for its leading role in the field of research in Mindanao, is set to collaborate with the J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) and the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Zamboanga del Sur for research initiatives centered on Lake Dasay in San Miguel and Lakewood municipality in Zamboanga del Sur.
The Board of Trustees (BOT) Finance Committee Meeting of J.H. Cerilles State College, under the leadership of the Vice Chairman of the BOT, President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, convened on March 14, 2024, at the I.T. Building Conference Room, Pagadian Annex Campus.
The Management Information System Technology Office (MISTO), led by Director Mr. Ronald Luste, organized an Information Systems Strategic Plan Seminar-Workshop on March 13-14, 2024, at the New Roxan Hotel in Pagadian City. The event drew JHCSC executives, administrators, deans, and directors. Renowned specialists from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) were among the attendees as resource speakers.
