Students of JHCSC Main Campus convened at the campus gymnasium in Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, on September 12, 2025, for a symposium on Anti-Drug Awareness and Anti-Terrorism. The activity was organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), under the leadership of Dean Venus M. Avenido, in collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP) San Miguel Municipal Police Station.

The symposium featured a lecture delivered by PSSg. Machir L. Lagud, who discussed the dangers of illegal drug use and underscored the importance of vigilance against terrorism. He emphasized the crucial role of students in safeguarding their communities by remaining informed, exercising sound judgment, and actively promoting awareness of these critical issues.

In her closing message, Ms. Sheeria Mylen W. Luna, Main Campus Student Affairs Department Head, extended her gratitude to the student participants and commended the personnel of the San Miguel Municipal Police Station for sharing their insights. She highlighted that initiatives of this kind are vital in strengthening student awareness of safety and responsibility, thereby preparing them to become responsible and socially conscious citizens.
