J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) employees proudly showcased their talent and won awards in multiple categories during the National Government Agency (NGA) Day, a highlight of the 73rd Araw ng Zamboanga del Sur celebration. Held on September 13, 2025, at the Mega Gym of the Provincial Government Complex in Dao, Pagadian City, the event brought together 12 government agencies for a day of friendly competition and performing-arts showcases.
Personnel from JHCSC across campuses came together in full support of their representatives. Alongside them, employees from the other participating agencies—including BJMP & BFP, MRH, PNP, ZDSPGC, OLT, WEST PRIME, DepEd Secondary, AFP, DepEd Elementary, Yllana Bay View College, and DOH—also gathered to cheer on their respective contenders.
𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐇. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 captivated the crowd and judges with a stirring performance, clinching 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, while the JHCSC Dumingag Baby Face Dance Troupe energized the venue with a vibrant dance routine, winning 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐩 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 —both highlights of the college’s excellence in the performing arts.
In the prestigious 𝐌𝐫. & 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐙𝐃𝐒 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 2025 pageant, JHCSC representatives stood out as part of the Top 5 finalists. 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐒. 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐧, Chief Legal Officer and BOT Secretary, was crowned as 2nd Runner-Up and bagged the special award for Best in Professional Attire. 𝐑𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐁. 𝐁𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧, Dumingag STE Faculty, impressed the judges and audience, finishing as 4th Runner-Up.
Together, these achievements highlight JHCSC’s dynamic role in the province’s community celebrations and unwavering pursuit of excellence—proving that the college’s talents shine far beyond the academic arena.
JHCSC extends its heartfelt appreciation to the leaders of the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government, led by 𝐆𝐨𝐯. 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐂. 𝐘𝐮, for championing an event that not only commemorates the province’s founding anniversary but also strengthens camaraderie among government agencies.
