The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), under the leadership of President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, has earned another milestone with the issuance of a Certificate of Accreditation from the Department of AgricultureโBureau of Plant Industry (BPI) through its National Seed Quality Control Services (NSQCS).
Granted on August 13, 2025, the accreditation officially recognizes JHCSC as an Inbred Rice Seed Producer, highlighting the collegeโs capacity to meet national standards for high-quality seed production. ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ฐ๐๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐๐, which provides the institution with free foundation seeds and a seed fund of โฑ100,000 per hectare.
This distinction is linked to ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฌ, where the inbred rice seed production program is based. The campus, led by Director ๐๐ซ. ๐๐จ๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ง ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง, demonstrated full compliance with the rigorous requirements set by the countryโs official seed certifying agency, positioning JHCSC as a trusted partner in strengthening food security and supporting local farmers.
Through this accreditation, JHCSC reaffirms its mission to advance agricultural research, provide quality extension services, and contribute to sustainable development across Zamboanga del Sur and beyond.
