The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), under the leadership of President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, has earned another milestone with the issuance of a Certificate of Accreditation from the Department of Agricultureโ€“Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) through its National Seed Quality Control Services (NSQCS).

Granted on August 13, 2025, the accreditation officially recognizes JHCSC as an Inbred Rice Seed Producer, highlighting the collegeโ€™s capacity to meet national standards for high-quality seed production. ๐“๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐š๐œ๐ก๐ข๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐š๐๐ž ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐‘๐ข๐œ๐ž, which provides the institution with free foundation seeds and a seed fund of โ‚ฑ100,000 per hectare.

This distinction is linked to ๐‰๐‡๐‚๐’๐‚ ๐ƒ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐š๐  ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฌ, where the inbred rice seed production program is based. The campus, led by Director ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐จ๐ข๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ ๐†๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐ง ๐“๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ง, demonstrated full compliance with the rigorous requirements set by the countryโ€™s official seed certifying agency, positioning JHCSC as a trusted partner in strengthening food security and supporting local farmers.

Through this accreditation, JHCSC reaffirms its mission to advance agricultural research, provide quality extension services, and contribute to sustainable development across Zamboanga del Sur and beyond.
