𝐀𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐔𝐏 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝟓-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐉𝐇𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐒𝐅 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐌𝐒𝐄 𝐁𝐒𝐈𝐓 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬

The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc., conducted a five-day online accreditation visit at J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) from August 25 to 29, 2025, via Zoom. The visit aimed to assess the Bachelor of Science in Forestry (BSF) program at the Main Campus for its 1st Survey Visit and the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program at the Canuto MS Enerio Campus for its 2nd Survey Revisit – All Areas, ensuring these programs meet national quality standards and support the College’s commitment to academic excellence.

The AACCUP accreditors were led by Coordinator Dr. Jeng Jeng M. Bolintao from Ifugao State University (IfSU). For the BSF Program at the Main Campus, the team was composed of Dr. Jofhiline F. Dygico from Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) as Team Leader and Dr. Afed S. Daiwey from Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) as Lead Accreditor. Meanwhile, for the BSIT Program at the Lakewood Campus, the accreditors were Dr. Shiela R. Lingaya from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) as Team Leader and Dr. Marie Joy B. Alit from Cebu Technological University (CTU) as Lead Accreditor.

A key highlight of the accreditation was the evaluation of the CMSE and Main Campus Libraries by Dr. Nuelah San Juan Reyes, Lead Accreditor–Librarian from Central Luzon State University (CLSU). Her insights and recommendations provided valuable guidance for improving library services, collections, and facilities in support of teaching, learning, and research at JHCSC.

The Quality Assurance Office took the lead in facilitating the accreditation visit, with its Director, Ms. Joie Mercybelle Capitanea. She was supported by the ever-dedicated QA team, who worked hand in hand with the campus task force to ensure everything ran smoothly. The team included Mr. Edgar Montuerto, Jr., – Quality Assurance Officer IV; Mr. Vicpher Garnada – Quality Assurance in-charge for Dumingag Campus, Ms. Rialyn Calago, Quality Assurance in-charge for Canuto Campus; Ms. Althea Nicole Paradiang – Quality Assurance in charge for Pagadian Extension Campus. They were supported by the hardworking and committed QA staff, including Ms. Malaika Lopez, Mr. Rob Kellean Barluado, and Mr. Ray Mark Abe.

The Main Campus task force for the BSF program was led by SAFES Dean Dr. Emelyn D. Tormes, together with BSF Program Chair For. Nomar Ramonsito. Meanwhile, the Canuto MS Enerio Campus task force for the BSIT program was headed by School of Computing Studies Dean Ms. Elsie Ybañez, with the support of Campus Director Mr. Bobby Piscos and BSIT Program Chair Mr. Jordan Saladaga.

At the end of the 5-day visit, the accreditors shared their commendations and recommendations, recognizing the College’s strong commitment to academic quality while identifying areas for continuous growth.

This successful accreditation visit reaffirms JHCSC’s commitment to excellence in higher education—validating compliance with national standards, strengthening institutional credibility, and promoting continuous improvement to provide quality education and greater opportunities for students, faculty, and stakeholders.
