As part of JHCSC’s 24th Founding Anniversary activities, Game 1 of the Mobile Sports Festival for employees commenced on August 15, 2025, hosted by the Dumingag Campus under the leadership of Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin. The event was attended by employees representing the Dumingag, CMSE, Pagadian, and Main Campus Teams.

The program opened with loud cheers from the different campuses, followed by a welcome address from Dr. Mark E. Patalinghug, Dumingag Campus Academic Programs Coordinator and SOCJE Dean. In his speech, he welcomed the participants and emphasized that the event is a celebration through sportsmanship.

Dr. Buena D. Calunsag, Campus-wide Sports Director, also delivered a message highlighting the significance of the activity in fostering teamwork and good communication, which are essential not only in sports but also in the workplace. She added that the activity allows participants to learn the value of supporting one another, staying united, meeting new people, building friendships, and forming lasting relationships while staying physically fit.

The ceremonial entrance of the athletic flame and lighting of the urn was led by SCUAA coaches Mr. Niรฑobel G. Canencia and Ms. Hannah Joy Batugan. As the flame was lit, the crowd erupted in cheers, signaling the official start of the festival. This was followed by the hoisting of banners from the Dumingag, CMSE, Pagadian, and Main Campus Teams, each proudly carrying their campus colors. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as participants and spectators showed their support through chants and applause, setting the stage for the friendly games that would highlight teamwork and camaraderie.

Building on this festive spirit, the Mobile Sports Festival, initiated by President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, underscores JHCSCโ€™s commitment to employee wellness, unity, and engagement. More than just a competition, the friendly games aim to promote physical fitness, strengthen workplace relationships, and encourage collaboration among employees. At the same time, the activity reflects the collective spirit of the institution as it commemorates its 24th Founding Anniversary.
