J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) under the leadership of President Edgardo H. Rosales commenced its month-long 24th Founding Anniversary celebration on August 11, 2025, with a three-in-one ceremony at the Main Campus — a Thanksgiving Mass, the blessing of the Lawn Tennis Court and four newly procured vehicles, and the ribbon-cutting with ceremonial serve — graced by Zamboanga del Sur Vice Governor Hon. Roseller L. Ariosa.

A solemn 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒔𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒔 at the newly constructed Lawn Tennis Court brought together Roman Catholic faculty, staff, students, and key college officials in prayer for the institution’s continued growth and service. The Mass included a 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔, symbolizing the community’s supplication for continuous guidance and strength in steadfast leadership.

Fr. Vicente Amplayo of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, officiated the liturgical celebration, assisted by an altar server, with the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), led by Director Jerry R. Redoblado, facilitating the event.

The event continued with the 𝑹𝒊𝒃𝒃𝒐𝒏-𝑪𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒘𝒏 𝑻𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒕, led by President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales and Vice Governor Hon. Roseller L. Ariosa, officially marking the facility’s readiness for use and underscoring the institution’s commitment to promoting sports, wellness, and camaraderie. A 𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆 followed, symbolically inaugurating the court for recreational play, friendly matches, and future competitive tournaments.

President Rosales announced the formation of the JHCSC Lawn Tennis Club and the upcoming President’s Cup—Lawn Tennis Tournament, scheduled for August 16–17, 2025, featuring players from various municipalities. Vice Governor Ariosa expressed his enthusiasm for returning to the college for friendly matches with the President.

The three-in-one event served as both a spiritual and symbolic kickoff to the college’s month-long 24th Founding Anniversary celebration. Afterward, participants proceeded to the Campus Gymnasium for the 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎, where Vice Governor Ariosa served as Guest Speaker.
