The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program of the School of Computing Studies at JHCSC Pagadian Campus, under the leadership of Dean Elsie Ybañez, has officially received its Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The certificate was formally handed over during a ceremonial event held on August 8, 2025, at the JHCSC Hostel.

The COPC was presented by Engr. Janeny B. Domingsil, Officer-in-Charge and Supervising Education Program Specialist, alongside Dr. Joe-an G. Cuaresma and Dr. Clarissa C. Alvarez of CHED Regional Office IX. Joining the event were key institutional figures including Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, Pagadian Campus Director; and the faculty and staff of the BSIT program, all of whom witnessed this significant milestone.

The granting of the COPC affirms the BSIT program’s compliance with CHED’s minimum standards for quality and excellence. This achievement reflects the collective dedication of the BSIT faculty and staff, strengthened by the guidance of Dr. Bahian and Dr. Grengia, and the visionary leadership of JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales. It marks another step forward in the institution’s mission to provide accessible, relevant, and high-quality education to its students.
