The JHCSC Pagadian City Extension Campus, under the leadership of Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, officially welcomed new and returning students for the academic year 2025–2026 through “Panukad 2025” on August 6, 2025, at the campus grounds. The program also marked the launch of Buwan ng Wika with the theme, “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.” In line with the celebration, students, employees, faculty members, and staff wore traditional Filipiniana dresses and Barong Tagalog, adding a vibrant cultural touch to the occasion. The opening ceremony also featured the introduction of candidates for the Supreme Student Council (SSC) Elections, as well as key college officials, faculty members, and employees of the campus.

As part of the day’s activities, the Guidance and Counseling Office, in collaboration with the Student Affairs and Services and the School Clinic, spearheaded “Dayon Kamo, JHCSCians!” The activity included a photo booth designed to give students a warm welcome while promoting campus support services in an engaging and interactive manner. This initiative highlighted the importance of accessible student support and encouraged learners to maximize the assistance available to them throughout the academic year.

The event served not only as a formal opening of classes but also as a celebration of culture, leadership, and community spirit. By combining the launch of Buwan ng Wika with student engagement activities and a showcase of traditional Filipino attire, “Panukad 2025” reflected JHCSC Pagadian Campus’ commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and culturally enriched academic environment for all students.

Soar high, J.H. Cerilles State College!
