The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA), headed by Vice President Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, successfully held a two-day operational planning session for the calendar year 2026 on August 4-5,2025. The event took place at the Conference Room on the 3rd Floor of the I.T. Building, Pagadian Campus. Attendees included deans from various schools, faculty members, and heads of offices from the student services departments across the JHCSC campuses.
On the first day of the session, each school presented their catch-up plans for 2025. These presentations covered a variety of topics, including updates on progress, task audits, reprioritization of goals, and the mapping of timelines. Following the presentations, participants engaged in a workshop and a concurrent panel dialogue to discuss and refine these plans further.
The second day began with Dr. Grengiaβs presentation on the strategic planning framework and priorities for 2026. This session was followed by a series of workshops aimed at aligning individual unit priorities with the broader goals of the VPAA. Participants also reviewed ongoing projects, identified gaps and necessary interventions, and worked on setting clear methods of verification and accomplishment timelines. Additionally, they discussed resource allocation and plans for stakeholder engagement in upcoming initiatives. Similar to the previous day, a concurrent panel dialogue allowed for further discussions and insights into the planning process.
The event concluded with a pledge of commitment from all attendees, affirming their full cooperation in achieving the goals set by the OVPAA for the coming years.
