The School of Business and Management (SBM) hosted a heartfelt “Tribute to Parents & Faculty and Graduation Ball” at Hotel Alindahaw in Pagadian City on June 4, 2025. The event, themed “Roots and Wings: Honoring the Hands That Build the Future,” celebrated the foundational support of families and the empowering guidance of educators. Spearheaded by SBM Dean Dr. Julito V. Mandac, Jr., with the support of Pagadian Campus Director Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, the gathering underscored the collaborative effort between families and educators in shaping students’ academic and personal growth.
The evening commenced with a heartfelt welcome address by Prof. Glady C. Quirante, SBM faculty and Federated Faculty and Staff Association (FFASA) President. He eloquently emphasized the occasion’s significance, highlighting parents’ pivotal role in their children’s academic journeys. His words resonated deeply, reminding everyone of the sacrifices and unwavering support parents provide to ensure their children’s success. Adding a touch of inspiration, Ms. Ailee Kristel Talpis-Barroquilio, an alumna from the batch of 2014, shared her journey and the challenges she overcame. Her message served as a beacon of hope, encouraging the graduates to face their future endeavors with resilience and determination.
Dr. Mandac’s speech was a poignant reflection of the bond between students and educators. He recounted stories of his students’ growth, the challenges they faced, and the triumphs they celebrated.
