As part of the Adopt-a-District Extension Program (ADEP) under the TABANGE Framework, led by Prof. Ricky A. Egos, Extension Director guided by the visionary leadership of JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, the JHCSC School of Business and Management (SBM) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Skills Training for Non-Working and Indigent Citizens of Barangay White Beach, Pagadian City, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Barangay officials of Barangay White Beach.

The MOA signing ceremony was held on December 11, 2024, at the Barangay Covered Court in White Beach, Pagadian City. The event was led by Project Leaders Ms. Maricar P. Rellon and Ms. Myrna V. Ceño, with the strong support of Dr. Julito V. Mandac, Jr., Dean of the School of Business and Management.

The event was graced by notable attendees, including Mr. Riduan P. Hadjimuddin, CESO III, DSWD Regional Director, along with representatives from the DSWD: Mr. Earl Wynn Timbang, DSWD SLP Provincial Coordinator, and Mr. Eric Villaganas, DSWD SLP Partnership Officer. Also present were Mr. Marlon A. Alabata, CPA, DTI Provincial Director, and his team, which included Mr. Jason L. Jao, Sr. Trade and Industry Development Specialist; Ms. Iris Judith B. Guatno, Sr. Trade and Industry Development Specialist; and Ms. Maria Angelica Y. Evasco, Trade and Industry Development Specialist.

The event additionally included the participation of Barangay White Beach residents and SBM faculty members, reflecting a strong sense of community collaboration. This project aims to support residents of Barangay White Beach by offering skills training programs tailored to local needs. These programs are designed to provide practical competencies that align with market demands, enhancing opportunities for employment and livelihood. This initiative demonstrates JHCSC’s commitment to addressing the needs of communities through sustainable and impactful solutions.
