During the Flag Raising Ceremony today, December 9, 2024, at the JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium in Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, medalists and coaches from both sports, led by Ms. Kathleen Jean A. Ursaiz, Sports Director, and socio-cultural events, led by Mr. Joseph B. Salimbangon, Culture and the Arts Director, received special recognition for their outstanding achievements during the MASTS Friendship Games 2024.

The giving of certificates and cash incentives to the students who got bronze, silver, and gold medals were facilitated by President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, VP for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Jonno E. Tan, Dean of Student Affairs and Services. This effort reflects JHCSC’s commitment to celebrating student success and supporting their continued academic growth, development, and extracurricular pursuits.

President Rosales congratulated the medalists and coaches, praising their hard work and dedication, which brought pride and honor to JHCSC. Additionally, he shared his hopes for student-athletes to succeed in sports and socio-cultural events and excel in their academic studies, stressing the importance of maintaining a balance between their talents and educational pursuits.

Following the recognition ceremony, the JHCSC Parent Teacher Association (PTA) officers, led by PTA President Mr. Santiago O. Arig, were joined by President Rosales, Dr. Grengia, and Dr. Tan in facilitating the distribution of financial assistance to PTA scholars. This initiative aims to support their educational journey and help them continue to excel academically.
