Delegates from J.H. Cerilles State College attended the Tourism Awareness Seminar organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT). They featured the guest speaker, Ms. Precious Jane R. Alumbro from HESED Tourism Consultancy and Services. This seminar aimed to enhance knowledge in tourism and professional development among educators and practitioners in the tourism and hospitality industry.

JHCSC was represented by Prof. Llanevie Azel Z. Niez, the Secretary of the Council of Tourism and Hospitality Educators of Zamboanga Peninsula, and Prof. Julie R. Cabalog, Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management Program Chair.

During the seminar, JHCSC received two prestigious awards from the Department of Tourism Region IX Office, given by Ms. Dara May L. Cataluรฑa, the DOT Regional Director. The two awards include the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) and a certificate of appreciation to recognize the contribution of JHCSC as a partner collaborator of the DOT. The seminar and the subsequent acknowledgment underscored JHCSC’s dedication to advancing excellence in tourism education while cultivating collaborations that contribute to the development of the tourism sector within the region.
