The JHCSC Gender and Development (GAD) Office, led by Director Dr. Trinidad C. Abapo, hosted the 4th Quarter Regular Meeting of the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) IX on November 19, 2024. The gathering took place at the Kalikasan Assembly Hall, NEDA IX Building, within the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Government Center in Balintawak, Pagadian City.

Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor, Dean of the School of Law, was inducted as a certified member of the Regional Pool of GAD Resource Persons Batch 1 of RGADC IX, alongside other newly certified members from Region IX. The induction ceremony was conducted by Mr. Raymond B. Domingo, Chairperson of RGADC IX and Area Officer for the National Youth Commission Regions IX and XII. Atty. Regidor expressed heartfelt gratitude to JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, Dumingag Campus Director Dr. Moises Glenn Tangalin, and GAD Director Dr. Abapo, recognizing their unwavering support and encouragement.

Dr. Abapo also presented JHCSC’s recent GAD activities and accomplishments, highlighting the institution’s progress in promoting gender-responsive programs. She emphasized the implementation of the GAD Framework RESPECT —Responsiveness, Equality, Sensitivity, Priority, Equity, Cooperation, Transparency—implemented under President Rosales’ leadership. The presentation underscored JHCSC’s dedication to gender and development efforts within the region to become a stronger and bolder institution.
