The Records and Archives Office (RAO) of JHCSC, led by Mrs. Mae Desiree L. Luste, continued its Basic Records Management Orientation at the Dumingag Campus in Caridad, Zamboanga del Sur, on November 13, 2024. This session followed earlier ones held at the Main Campus and Pagadian Extension Campus on October 21, 2024. Ms. Jovey P. Medina, a faculty member from the School of Arts and Sciences and former Records Officer at RAO, served as the guest speaker.

Staff and representatives from various Dumingag Campus offices attended, participating in discussions and hands-on activities to improve their record-handling skills. They engaged in exercises and case studies on effectively organizing, storing, and securing documents. The program emphasized the importance of managing records to ensure accessibility, accuracy, and confidentiality, thereby safeguarding the long-term value of institutional information.

The final session of the Basic Records Management Orientation is scheduled at JHCSC’s Lakewood Campus, concluding the series aimed at strengthening the institution’s record-keeping standards. This session will reinforce lessons from earlier workshops, allowing participants to address any remaining challenges in records management. The team aims to establish best practices for documentation and archiving at JHCSC, supporting the long-term preservation of the college’s institutional memory.
