The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region IX, led by Regional Director Dr. Rody P. Garcia, together with Dr. Joseph Lou C. Sta. Teresa, OIC-Chief Education Program Specialist, and the Regional Quality Assessment (RQAT) Team, headed by Dr. Ma. Grace F. Gurdiel, Dean of the College of Nursing and School of Midwifery at the DMC – College Foundation, visited the JHCSC School of Nursing (SON) for a program evaluation on November 12, 2024, at the JHCSC Pagadian Extension Campus.

Present during the assessment were key officials, including President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, Campus Director, and Dean Marjo S. Malabanan. Faculty and staff from the School of Nursing also participated in the evaluation, showcasing their dedication to the program’s development.

The RQAT team conducted an ocular inspection and reviewed various aspects, including the curriculum, faculty qualifications, facilities, student support services, student outcomes, and documentation. They closely examined the facilities and records, providing recommendations to enhance the School of Nursing’s compliance with CHED’s Certificate of Program Compliance standards.

President Dr. Rosales reaffirmed his commitment to elevating the quality of education at the School of Nursing, emphasizing his dedication to supporting the improvements identified during the evaluation. The institution is determined to meet CHED’s requirements, ensuring excellence in its nursing program.
