The School of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Studies (SAFES), under the leadership of Dean Dr. Jerry B. Superales, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation, celebrated its two-day SAFES Day 2024 on November 7-8 at JHCSC Dapiwak, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur. The event carried the theme, โAdvancing Agriculture for a Sustainable Future: Merging Innovation with Environmental Responsibility 2024.โ
The celebration brought together diverse participants, including students from the BS in Agriculture programs at the Main and Dumingag Campuses and those from the BS in Forestry and BS in Environmental Science programs from the Main Campus. Faculty members and program chairs, including Prof. Abundio G. Cabahug (BSA โ Dumingag), Dr. Rosanilio M. Yagos (BSES), and For. Nomar A. Romancito (BSF) joined the festivities. Their presence added to the lively atmosphere and sense of community that defined the occasion.

SAFES Day is an esteemed annual event within the School of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Studies, celebrating the achievements and talents of its students. It serves as a platform for students to present their skills and accomplishments through diverse activities, presentations, and exhibitions.
