The Planning and Development Office (PDO) of J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) convened a meeting on November 11, 2024, to discuss the update and prioritization of the institution’s Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) for the 2027-2032 period, held at the Office of the President’s Board Room on the main campus, the session focused on strategic planning and the future direction of infrastructure projects, led by the PDO, Dr. Cleofe A. Baterna Jr., Planning Director, and facilitated by For. Larnie Galiste, the LUDIP Focal Person, under the leadership of JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, who provided valuable insights and guidance throughout the session.

Key officials present at the meeting included Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Joel M. Sabellano, Finance Director. Also in attendance were Mr. Kim M. Borja, HR Representative from the Human Resource Management Office, and Ms. Bemia Snooky A. Beboso, Campus Director of the Main Campus. The session was also attended by several planning officers, including Engr. Pangasian B. Mamintas, Engr. Arnold T. Tanondong, Engr. Archel B. Bacus, and Engr. Raymark E. Calago, who played an integral role in the assessment and coordination of the proposed infrastructure projects.

During the session, President Rosales commended the initiative behind the LUDIP and emphasized the importance of revisiting and updating the plan for the institution’s growth. He highlighted the significance of strategic planning and underscored the need for continuous improvements to align with the college’s long-term development goals. Dr. Rosales also shared his perspectives on potential challenges the plan might face in the coming years, offering solutions and recommendations for overcoming these obstacles. His input on the prioritization of building projects was noted as critical in guiding the LUDIP process, ensuring that future development is both sustainable and aligned with the college’s vision.

The LUDIP prioritization aims to effectively manage JHCSC’s land and infrastructure resources to meet the institution’s evolving needs. The plan seeks to align future developments with the college’s mission, vision, and strategic goals for the next decade. By focusing on key projects, LUDIP ensures that infrastructure developments are not only necessary but also strategically sound, fostering a conducive learning environment and supporting the overall academic and administrative growth of the institution.
