The Pagadian Extension Campus, under the leadership of Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, hosted an acquaintance party on October 8, 2024, at the BSN Building Lobby. Attendees showcased their creativity by wearing Taylor Swift-inspired outfits. The event, themed “KASUGIRAN 2024: Unique Stories, Collective Identity, One JHCSC,” was organized by the Supreme Student Council, spearheaded by Hassanor Saanoding, in collaboration with the Department of Student Affairs (DSA), led by Mrs. Janniece L. Magsayo.

The gathering fostered a dynamic and united spirit within the academic community, bringing together Deans, Program Chairs, faculty, staff, and students from various programs, including BS in Hospitality Management, BS in Tourism Management, BS in Entrepreneurship, BS in Nursing, BS in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Secondary Education. The event was also attended by the College Key Officials, Alumni, and Supreme Student Council from the Main Campus led by Student Trustee Hon. Cyrusdirk L. Elle, who gave a message to the attendees.

Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, JHCSC President, delivered a message and shared exciting news about the future development of a Student Activity Center at the Pagadian Campus beside the Hostel. This new facility will be ideal for formal events like Kasugiran 2024. He encouraged students by saying, “Your stories tonight will be the stories you share with your future children five or ten years from now,” inspiring everyone to cherish the moment.

The event recognized twelve student organizations and clubs with certificates of appreciation presented to their presidents and advisers. The newly elected Supreme Student Council and officers from various organizations were also inducted in a formal ceremony led by President Rosales, with facilitation from Dr. Bahian and Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The highlight of the event included a series of entertaining competitions, such as the Lip Sync Battle, Pop Dance, Ka-Look-Alike contests, and Dance Showdown, and the centerpiece was the Search for Mr. and Ms. KASUGIRAN 2024, with both titles proudly awarded to BS in Nursing program candidates.
