JHCSC and DPWH Signs MOA for Infrastructure Project Implementation Partnership

JHCSC Planning and Development Office (PDO) organized a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony between J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region IX to formalize their collaboration for the implementation of the two Major Infrastructure Projects of JHCSC held today, July 26, 2024, at Pagadian Annex Conference Room.
Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, JHCSC President, during his welcomed address, remarked that this day marks another historical event for the infrastructure projects of JHCSC, the construction of the Academic Building in Lakewood Campus and completion of the Academic Building in Pagadian Annex Campus in partnership with DPWH for the implementation.
Engr. Michael D. Torino, Section Chief, Bridge and Other Public Works Design Section, delivered a Statement of Commitment. “The DPWH continues to uphold our commitment to provide quality, safe, and environment-friendly public infrastructure facilities,” affirmed Engr. Torino underscored the agency’s commitment to the success of JHCSC’s two Infrastructure Projects implementation for Fiscal Year 2024.

Following this, key representatives from both JHCSC and DPWH signed the MOA, and the JHCSC College Officials witnessed this significant milestone. Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, Planning Director Dr. Cleofe A. Baterna, Jr., and Budget Officer Mr. Wilfredo M. Barnido, Jr. represented as JHCSC signatories. Engr. Michael D. Torino and Engr. Jocelyn T. Bruces signed on behalf of DPWH Region IX.
Before the event concluded, PDO Director Dr. Baterna gave closing remarks and expressed his gratitude to the DPWH Representatives and to the JHCSC College Officials who showed their support. According to him, this MOA shows shared goals for improving the infrastructure of J.H. Cerilles State College.
As JHCSC and DPWH embark on this journey together, both organizations are confident that this partnership will reap fruitful outcomes for the two building projects that will give the students a comfortable and safe place for their well-being. -EMP
