J.H. Cerilles State College Arnis Team clinched a total of 11 medals — 2 Gold, 6 Silver, and 3 Bronze and got the 2nd Rank in overall Mindanao Colleges Army ROTC who competed in the Philippine ROTC Games 2024 Mindanao Qualifying Leg Arnis Tournament in different categories during the awarding on June 28, 2024, at Western Mindanao State University Gymnasium, Zamboanga City.
JHCSC ROTC Cadet Athlete Arnis Medalists are the following:
Ebenesher A. Balco: 1 Gold (Welterweight Padded Category)
Crystal Jade J. Templa: 1 Gold (Anyo, Non-Traditional) and 1 Silver (Featherweight Padded Category)
Clyde G. Benaojan: 2 Silver (Welterweight Padded & Live Stick Category)
Milvie Jane B. Repal: 2 Silver (Welterweight Padded & Live Stick Category)
Ericka A. Balco: 1 Silver (Lightweight Padded Category) and 1 Bronze (Lightweight Live Stick Category)
Joshua S. Omag: 2 Bronze (Lightweight Padded & Live Stick Category)
Behind every medal won, the team received support from JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales and guidance from Coach Eunice Dale Dela Cruz, alongside College Sports Director Ms. Kathleen A. Ursaiz, ROTC Unit Coordinator Mr. Ken Mark Edulan, NSTP Incharge Mr. Jonathan Reville, and College Nurse Joanne Happy C. Hajirul.
Region IX officials, including Cpl Feil T. Quimiging (Inf) PA, ROTC Chief Clerk, and MAJ Efren A. Pacaña (ARM) PA, ROTC Commandant, exert their efforts in facilitating the participation of delegates from Region IX.
