The J.H. Cerilles State College School of Teacher Education (JHCSC-STE) Extension Program Project titled “Research Capability Building Seminar Workshop Series for Department of Education Teachers in San Miguel District” was launched with a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony on May 25, 2024, at E-Center, Poblacion, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.
The ceremony witnessed the active participation of key figures from JHCSC, including President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation Dr. Jerry B. Superales, STE Dean Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial, and ADEP San Miguel Project Leader Juvie B. Sebial.
Notable attendees from partner agencies included LGU San Miguel Mayor Ex D. Ocapan, DepEd Region IX Supervisor Dr. Lee G. Baraquia, DepEd Zamboanga del Sur Program Supervisor Dr. Daria Gay M. Mariquit, and Dr. Juvy T. Empalmado, San Miguel Public School District Supervisor.
This Project is under the Adopt-a-District Extension Program (ADEP) of the Community Extension and Services Office spearheaded by Director Ricky A. Egos under the TABANGE Framework in collaboration with DepEd San Miguel District, and LGU San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.
In addition, this Project is for both DepEd San Miguel District Elementary and High Schools with a series of sessions focused on the DepEd Action and Basic Research. The program works on a once-a-month comprehensive set-up and will regularly take place in the E-Center of LGU-San Miguel.
In this partnership, JHCSC will provide the workforce and technical support for the training, while the LGU San Miguel will provide the venue for the sessions. DepEd – San Miguel, as the recipient, will focus on the viable action research proposal formulation.
