Cerilles State College (JHCSC), kicked off a comprehensive 3-Day Training on Disaster Preparedness, Basic First Aid, and Mass Casualty Incident Management, yesterday, April 10, 2024, at the JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium.
Under the theme, “Preparation Through Education is Less Costly than Learning Through a Tragedy,” the event aims to equip participants with the essential information and skills they need to respond to emergencies, attended by JHCSC DRRMO Staff and Student Volunteers.
Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Joel M. Sabellano welcomed all the participants and the guest trainers’ experts from ZPPSU DRRMO. JHCSC DRRMO Director Jerry R. Redoblado presented the training’s rationale.
JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, a visionary leader, established JHCSC DRRMO. In his message, Pres. Rosales stressed the importance of proper training. He stated, “You cannot give what you don’t have. Proper training is important to extend help to others in emergency cases.” He encouraged the participants to enjoy the training, to learn more, and to be participative.
Dr. Michael M. Cabiles, ZPPSU DRRMO Director, discussed Disaster Risk Reduction and RA 10121. The ZPPSU DRRMO training team’s skilled professionals were Daniel M. Toledo, EMT, Reuben B. Tocles, Niño Rhino Sanchez, Rinse Jay C. Gumalo, Arnel M. Agan, and John Robin Molina.
